Traditional woodworking & toolmaking
A hands-on exploration of classical, power-tool-free woodworking — raw geometry, structural integrity and the meditative precision of hand tools.
Status
On hold — hung on the peg while family, endurance sport and sailing take the time
Method
Hand tools exclusively — no power tools, no shortcuts
Timber
Oak (dąb) and ash (jesion)

Bench
My primary workbench, built to Rex Krueger’s Minimum Timber Bench design — a sturdy foundation for hand-tool work.
Handles
Turned and shaped custom ash handles for my chisels and rasps, improving ergonomics and control.
Mallet
A heavy-duty joiner’s mallet combining oak and ash, after Paul Sellers’ classic pattern.
Paused, not abandoned. It remains my favourite way to disconnect and practise pure physical mechanics.
